The United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in the Central African Republic (BINUCA) was established on 7 April 2009. Its mandate ended on 31 January 2015, subsumed to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).

Cameroon : the UN and its partners assess the situation of victims of the CAR crisis

Libreville (Gabon), 7 March 2014 - The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Central Africa, Mr. Abou Moussa, will travel to Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon, on Friday 7 March, for a one-week working visit. He will meet with the authorities with whom he will exchange information on the crisis that is destabilizing the Central African Republic (CAR) since December 2012 and that was accentuated with the overthrow of Francois Bozizé by "Seleka" on 24 March 2013.
