Closure of BINUCA

The United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in the Central African Republic (BINUCA) was established on 7 April 2009. Its mandate ended on 31 January 2015, subsumed to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).

Head of State of the Transition says recent incident in Bangui is unacceptable

Bangui, 7 February 2014 - Today, the Special Representative of the Secretary General and Head of the United Nations Integrated Office for Peacebuilding in the Central African Republic (BINUCA), General Babacar Gaye, was received in audience by the Head of State of the Transition in the Central African Republic, Mrs. Catherine Samba- Panza.
