The United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in the Central African Republic (BINUCA) was established on 7 April 2009. Its mandate ended on 31 January 2015, subsumed to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).

UN Integrated Office welcomes election of new Head of State of the Transition in the CAR

20 January 2014 - The UN Integrated Peacebuilding Office in the Central African Republic (BINUCA), welcomes the election today of Catherine Samba-Panza as the new Head of State of the Transition in the Central African Republic (CAR). BINUCA commends the strong mobilisation of members of the National Transitional Council who have shown, on this occasion, their essential role in the Transition process.
