Closure of BINUCA

The United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in the Central African Republic (BINUCA) was established on 7 April 2009. Its mandate ended on 31 January 2015, subsumed to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).

10 January 2014 – Speaking at his fist press conference this year, the United Nations Secretary-General touched upon issues relating to the situation in the Central African Republic, saying that the situation in that nation has been source of great concern for the international community.
